Join this webinar on clinical leadership in nursing education and practice, organised within the ERA+ project Clinical Leadership in Nursing Education, a collaboration between Finland, Portugal and Belgium. Explore innovative teaching methods, self-leadership, and current perspectives on strengthening leadership competences in nursing education.

This webinar aims to:

  • reflect on nurse self-leadership, autonomy, and professional development;

Invited speakers:

  • Prof. Dr. Ellen Vlaeyen (Belgium) is a professor at UHasselt and KU Leuven, and a lecturer and researcher in nursing education at UCLL. Her work focuses on clinical leadership and leadership development in healthcare, with a particular emphasis on translating evidence-based interventions into clinical practice.
  • Prof. João Ventura (Portugal) is an Adjunct Professor at the Northern School of Health of the Portuguese Red Cross. He holds a PhD in Nursing Sciences and is a Postdoctoral Researcher in Management. His work focuses on nursing, management, leadership, and quality of care. His current contribution builds on a completed review of teaching methods used to develop clinical leadership in nursing education, which is being prepared for publication, and will highlight strategies already adopted by nurse educators.
  • Dr. Katja Pursio’s (Finland) research focuses on nursing science, particularly nurses’ professional autonomy, self-leadership, and work well-being. Her work examines how organizational factors, leadership, and autonomy are linked to job satisfaction and retention in the nursing profession.
